Granny Squares can be multi-colored or single color. They can be bright, contrasting colors or softer, more similar colors. There is a wide range of pattern options with Granny Squares. We’ll start with a basic pattern, where you’ll learn how to start, how to work in the round, how to change colors, and how to finish off. In addition, you’ll learn how to read crochet chart patterns.

Prerequisite: You should have basic crochet skills for this class, which should include being comfortable with the chain stitch and single crochet.

Materials: Bring about 4oz DK or worsted weight yarn (a single color or a variety of colors, based on your Granny Square preferences) and a size G or H crochet hook. Materials are not provided.

Cancellation Policy

For classes that are multiple dates or a series, cancellations must be for the entire session, rather than individual dates. Refunds described below are less credit card fees. Cancellations made more than 14 days in advance of the start of a class or session are fully refundable; cancellations that are made within 7 - 14 days prior to the start of a class or session are 50% refundable. Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the start of a class or session are not refundable. Note that classes with less than 3 students enrolled are subject to cancellation by Estero Bay Art + Craft and will be fully refunded, including credit card fees.
