In this 2 hour, beginner-friendly class, students will be introduced to the basic tools, materials and processes of hand-quilting. Discover the art of “slow stitching” and leaving feeling inspired to continue on your hand-quilting journey.
Participants will learn:

Overview of basic tools and materials

How a quilt is constructed (known as a quilt sandwich)

Basting methods
-
The running stitch (straight stitch)
-
How to start and finish stitch rows using a quilters knot
-
How to hide (“pop”) your knot between layers
-
Basic binding techniques
This class is designed as an introduction to hand quilting. Participants will work on a small sampler throughout the class, allowing them to practice each technique and process as they learn.
All materials are provided.

Cancellation Policy
For classes that are multiple dates or a series, cancellations must be for the entire session, rather than individual dates. Refunds described below are less credit card fees. Cancellations made more than 14 days in advance of the start of a class or session are fully refundable; cancellations that are made within 7 - 14 days prior to the start of a class or session are 50% refundable. Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the start of a class or session are not refundable. Note that classes with less than 3 students enrolled are subject to cancellation by Estero Bay Art + Craft and will be fully refunded, including credit card fees.
