Machine Sewing, 4th grade and up; Wednesdays @ 1pm
Machine Sewing, 4th grade and up; Wednesdays @ 1pm
Learn how to confidently and safely use a sewing machine! In this weekly 90-minute class, we will cover sewing machine safety, threading, basic machine operation, how to read a simple pattern, and more. Students will start small with a simple project and take on more difficult projects as their skills develop. This will include projects like a bookmark, keys chain, stuffed animals, pencil case, bags, simple garments, and more.
Machine sewing supports the development of fine motor skills, pattern thinking, and creative decision making. Watch participants' confidence grow inside of the classroom and out as they get to take home and use the functional and decorative items they made.

All materials included.
We will have a class set of machines. Students may bring their own sewing machine if they already know how to use it. (Machine function varies greatly- a private lesson can be booked to learn the functions of your home machine).
