Exploring Materials & Methods, 6th-12th Grade

This class allows student to take a meaningful dive into a variety of materials and methods. Allowing our impulses and curiosities to lead the way, we'll delve into a variety of disciplines that explores an array of artistic practices, such as fiber, clay, paper, wood, paint and the many 2-dimensional arts. Additionally, we'll allow artistic practices from around the world to inspire and inform our projects. In this class, work may include experiences with Sumi-e (Japanese Ink Painting), aboriginal dot painting, Guatemalan worry dolls, clay beading and more.

All materials included.

Dates for each month series:

  • September: 8, 15, 22, 29
  • October: 6, 13, 20, 27
  • November: 3, 10, 17
  • December: 1, 8, 15

Cancellation Policy

For classes that are multiple dates or a series, cancellations must be for the entire session, rather than individual dates. Refunds described below are less credit card fees. Cancellations made more than 14 days in advance of the start of a class or session are fully refundable; cancellations that are made within 7 - 14 days prior to the start of a class or session are 50% refundable. Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the start of a class or session are not refundable. Note that classes with less than 3 students enrolled are subject to cancellation by Estero Bay Art + Craft and will be fully refunded, including credit card fees.
