Spinning Fiber on Navajo Spindles, May 3 1:00-4:00pm
Learn the ancient art of spinning wool into yarn in the Navajo tradition. This method of spinning fiber into yarn draws upon similar principles to the practice of creating usable fiber, with unique tools through the Navajo spindle. Kim will guide participants through the process using Navajo spindles and traditional Churro wool to create their own bundle of workable yarn to take home. This class is appropriate for complete beginners to those with intermediate experience spinning raw fiber into yarn.
