Hand Sewing, 7th-12th Grade
Hand Sewing, 7th-12th Grade
Students will learn basic sewing stitches to create their own work with confidence, including straight stitch, back stitch, whip stitch, buttons, and hand sewn zippers. As these skills develop through unique, personal projects (such as a monster coin pouch and monogrammed pillow case), instruction will advance into more complex and challenging techniques. Students will explore mending methods, such as sashiko, patch making, repurposing, and darning to further their creative potential.
All materials included. However, students are welcome to bring supplies and materials from home as well.
