Using the traditional folk practice of rag rugging (no sewing required), transform unwanted items to colorful, functional items. Do you have old t-shirts lying around that you aren't sure what to do with? This beginner-friendly class introduces the fundamentals of rag rugging to create a one-of-a-kind tabletop or countertop trivet with unwanted t-shirts.
All materials are provided. However, participants are welcomed to bring 2-3 washed old t-shirts. It doesn't matter if they have holes or stains because the braiding will mask it all. Two shirts will give the trivet two colors, three shirts = three colors.
Students will leave with a completed trivet and the skills to make more at home.
This 2.5-hour workshop includes light refreshments.

Cancellation Policy
For classes that are multiple dates or a series, cancellations must be for the entire session, rather than individual dates. Refunds described below are less credit card fees. Cancellations made more than 14 days in advance of the start of a class or session are fully refundable; cancellations that are made within 7 - 14 days prior to the start of a class or session are 50% refundable. Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the start of a class or session are not refundable. Note that classes with less than 3 students enrolled are subject to cancellation by Estero Bay Art + Craft and will be fully refunded, including credit card fees.
