Visible mending with decorative stitches and patches :) 
Tackle your mending pile! This beginner-friendly class welcomes students to bring 2-4 clothing items with holes or stains that need patching or creative repair. Learn to transform worn garments into unique pieces using visible mending techniques and hand stitching. Sample materials available for participants who do not have personal items to bring.

We'll provide materials to create custom patches and teach basic hand stitches for patch application, plus decorative sashiko and embroidery stitches that add both beauty and durability. Instructor Barbara Abbott will be there to consult with each student on the best repair methods for their specific items.

Students will leave with refreshed wardrobe pieces and the skills to continue mending at home. No experience necessary—just bring your items and we'll supply the rest.

Cancellation Policy

For classes that are multiple dates or a series, cancellations must be for the entire session, rather than individual dates. Refunds described below are less credit card fees. Cancellations made more than 14 days in advance of the start of a class or session are fully refundable; cancellations that are made within 7 - 14 days prior to the start of a class or session are 50% refundable. Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the start of a class or session are not refundable. Note that classes with less than 3 students enrolled are subject to cancellation by Estero Bay Art + Craft and will be fully refunded, including credit card fees.
